Spring Advanced Energy Moves

This series of seasonal spring warm-up moves will energetically awaken the body by activating the liver and gallbladder. Spring is an essential time to cleanse and ground the body, mind and our environment with a “spring clean” for the upcoming summer months.

In this class, we open and stretch the body and meridians, preparing for maximum growth, by ensuring we have strong, grounding foundations in our legs and feet. Movement focuses on targeting the liver and gallbladder organs, expanding from our roots and directing energy through tensing and releasing in sequential movements.

 
 
 

Early Summer Advanced Energy Moves

This Early Summer Flow class will teach you how to govern the rising energy of spring and how to carefully disperse this energy outwards. Learn how to warm up the body and create space with a greater understanding of how the body conducts energy through heat.

Early Summer Energy Moves focuses on the centre and midline of the body with movements of opening and closing (physically and energetically), creating heat and increasing blood flow, weight shifting, core work and activating our connective tissue for maximum energy flow and emotional release.

 
 
 

Summer Advanced Energy Moves


With nature at its fullest, the summer season is all about high, outgoing 'yang' energy. It is a time to experience our maximum potential. With an energetic focus on the bi-lateral meridians lines of the heart and small intestine, we keep the body moving and expanding in the height of the seasonal year.

This is the time of year we prepare to wind down from the height of summer to autumn, a time of transformation. This class focuses on the lymphatic system and balancing our blood sugar levels with movements that open the meridians for the stomach, spleen and pancreas.


Late Summer Advanced Energy Moves work on the supporting and nurturing the digestive system and to develop a sense of centre by strengthening and activating the energy in the legs in standing poses.

 
 
 

Body Clock Flow Sequence


This Body Clock also known as the Circadian Rhythm is a  Traditional Chinese Energy Practice and a vital health maintenance tool. Traditional Chinese Medicine follows the idea that each organ has its own biological clock and optimal time of functioning. Having a greater understanding of when each organ functions and returning to balance our clock when we are out of sync can improve our energy levels, sleep, digestion and much more. This class incorporates moves and stretches that focus on each organ to rebalance and recharge the body.

 
 
 

Daoyin of the Dragon - an advanced practice

Daoyin of the Dragon energetically strengthens and detoxifies the internal systems of the body, through a deep internal massage. This is a gentle, yet powerful practice that when practised daily it has many healing benefits such as: re-aligning the spine, strengthening the nervous system, increasing lung capacity, stimulating metabolism, regulating the endocrine system, keeping the body flexible and improving brain function. It is an excellent warm up for Yoga, T’ai Chi and Pilates practitioners.
