Ferme de Candelou

Set in the foothills of the French Pyrenees, near the village of Monein, a 260 year old Bearnaise farm is being transformed into somewhere very special. We are at the heart of the Bearn region and our six charming en-suite chambre d'hote rooms and self-contained gite make an ideal base from which to enjoy the area.

Our restored Bearnaise barn is 340 square metres in size, over two floors, and comprises six bedrooms all with private bathrooms, a one bedroom gite, a 45 sq.m. salon/meeting room and a 45 sq.m. lounge/dining room. Two of our six rooms are singles and are available on a first come, first served principle. There is NO "single supplement". Otherwise, all course/seminar prices are based upon room sharing. The accommodation can sleep up to a maximum of 16 people. There is a 75 sq.m. terrace overlooking the courtyard area and a 70 sq.m. deck leads from the salon toward the pool area. The pool is five by ten metres, with a 135 sq.m. paved area and surrounded by a French (recycled) oak picket fence.

Other Activities Available:

Whitewater rafting, horseriding and many other activities can also be pursued in the neighbourhood. For those of a more leisurely disposition, Candeloup is at the heart of the Jurancon wine region, which begs to be explored.
