Reading the Energy System of the Body
Western doctors are trained to look for and establish the presence of ‘dis-ease’ (imbalance) and illness. The Eastern approach is to increase vitality, free up energy and re-establish balance (ease) within the mind/body/spirit context. Reading the energy system of the body and the art of observation is an invaluable diagnostic tool for personal trainers, fitness practitioners and therapists to maximize the effects of their training programmes or treatments, and bring the best out of their clients and themselves.
This workshop will give invaluable insights into how imbalances may occur according to the Oriental perspective. Through often quite simple adjustments to lifestyle and fitness regimes, practitioners can contribute to their clients ability to retain a state of harmonious health and wellbeing.

Face Reading for Health and Fitness Professionals
Personology reveals how physical/facial features determine inherited tendencies, strengths and challenges, behaviour, emotional expression, present state of health and even how we process information. Understanding the basic principles of what our physical features are portraying provides a great tool for insight into ourselves and our clients so gaining an immediate rapport. One simple observation can be the catalyst for transforming a training regime from arduous and lacking commitment to working more effectively and harmoniously.

A study of Yin and Yang and the 5 Elements
A great opportunity to learn about the energy system of the body, including Meridians (energy pathways) and pressure points, and explore how these elements govern our health and how we think, feel, move and behave. Exercises to strengthen the organs, martial applications and forms of movement to enhance deepen all areas of fitness and health.

Shiatsu for Fitness and Personal Trainers
A deeply relaxing treatment which stimulates pressure points, stretches muscles, mobilizes joints and unblocks the energy pathways of the body. Given fully clothed it is fun both to give and to receive. The client benefits because flexibility improves and previously unknown levels of tension are revealed which, through complete relaxation, gives the body the space to reach its optimum level of equilibrium and vitality. The trainer benefits from using touch and stretching to provide unique knowledge and information about each client and provides additional tools for assessing the client's progress.
One or two day workshops and master classe.
